Charter Oahu at Turtle Canyon

Charter Oahu's Turtle Canyon snorkel: two hours from Pier B, 20 guests at most, a swim step for non-swimmers, bring your own drinks, departures and both prices.

Updated November 2026

Charter Oahu takes no more than 20 guests to Turtle Canyon on a two-hour boat trip from Pier B, with a crew of certified divers, lifeguards, free divers and surfers who show you where to look. It is the Turtle Canyon boat for a mixed group: the swimmers snorkel with high-end gear and flotation, and anyone who cannot swim sits on the swim step at the back of the boat with their feet in the water. Floating platforms are tied off the boat to lounge on, fruit, snacks, juice and water are included, and you may bring your own drinks. The same trip is sold on GetYourGuide from $85 and on Viator from $61 in current promotion (usually $89) a person (checked November 2026; checked November 2026).

On Viator the same trip is in a promotion, with six departures a day from 8 am to 3 pm:

How the trip runs

  1. Meet the crew at Pier B 15 minutes before your time. Bring a photo ID; parking near the pier is paid by the hour, and hotel pickup is not included.
  2. Out to the reef. The boat heads along the shore to Turtle Canyon, with Diamond Head in view, while the crew hands out snorkel gear and flotation.
  3. In the water, or on the step. Swimmers snorkel over the reef with the crew pointing out turtles and fish. Non-swimmers sit on the swim step with their feet in the water; anyone who wants to rest uses the floating platforms off the side.
  4. Back on board for seasonal fruit, snacks, juice and water, with music on the boat’s speakers, then the ride back to the pier. The whole trip takes two hours.

Who it suits, and who should pick another boat

It suits groups and families where not everyone will snorkel, and anyone who wants a smaller boat than the big catamarans without paying for a six-seat one. Viator’s listing takes children from 3 at the same fare as adults; infants ride on an adult’s lap. Neither listing promises anything if you see no turtle: if a guarantee matters to you, Living Ocean Tours offers a free return within 12 months and Oahu Catamarans a full refund. If you want the boat to come to you, Oceanstar picks up in Waikiki.

Price

On Viator the fare is in a promotion from $61 in current promotion (usually $89) a person, the same for adults, youths and children, on every date Viator’s schedule lists through 10 January (checked November 2026). On GetYourGuide the same two hours are from $85 (checked November 2026). The price comparison has every other operator.
